By Jessika Hepburn of Oh My! Handmade Goodness

I was so excited to find this tutorial by Jessika. When I was maybe 11 or so I got into sewing anything and everything that had to do with felt. I was in love with felt, and I’m now in love with this lovely long stem rose. It’ll live forever and you never have to worry about watering it. How awesome is that. :  )

I never intentionally painted my clothes, but I never intentionally protected my clothes from getting paint on them. I loved getting splatters of color on my shirts and jeans… it proved that they were mine. :  ) In this tutorial Mayi shows us how to intentionally make onsies summer ready with fabric paint.

These nifty heart crayons are made by breaking and melting crayons. When I was a kid I melted my old broken crayons into a crayon mold that I had. Some were really swirled together and others were in sections like lime green, sky blue and orange. But I wish I would have known about these heart molds, the final product is awesome as gifts for any time of the year.

These are one of my all time favorite diy’s ever! I’ve only made them out of gerber jars but I think switching types of jars how Sibylle has here is fantastic. & they don’t have to be only for Christmas, the first ones I made were with my favorite small toys. You can use anything your heart pleases. Key things that Sibylle points out that I must agree with are: use a little glycerin to slow down the glitter and epoxy for better hold.

I’ve shared my favorite crafts as a kid, what were yours?

P.s. if you haven’t heard Mayi is giving away a copy of Cultivate Your Creativity by Jessika Hepburn. Check it out!
